How to Utilize the Internet Effectively for Mobile Visitors

With the number of mobile devices, particularly smart phones and tablets, growing at such an outstanding rate, companies really need to focus on how they can adapt to the changes happening with mobile technology and capitalize on it before they are left behind like Kodak was when the camera industry seen technological advances. According to comScore, just in the last year over 30 million new smart phones were purchased and activated in the United States alone. On top of that, it is projected that Worldwide Google is activating over a half a million new devices daily! Think about that for a moment. With the shift from desktop computers at home to mobile computer in your pocket, people now have the internet and thousands of apps with them at all times.

There are several ways to help enhance your website for mobile visitors and it seems to be an obvious area for attention. Several things that companies can do to allow for a better mobile browsing experience include making a mobile version of a website that is easier to view on a mobile device, create a landing page specifically for mobile viewers to serve for that market, and also incorporate QR codes onto their products and advertising. By doing these things, mobile visitors will be much more likely to engage on your site compared to just bouncing away from it and not clicking on anything. When a visitor cannot find the information they are looking for on a website, they leave it unsatisfied. Think about this, when a customer walks into a retail store, they expect store sections to be laid out and marked correctly. They also expect prices and items to be displayed properly. If a customer cannot find what they are looking for within a reasonable amount of time do you think they are going to waste more time searching for whatever they may be looking for? The same goes with websites. Try to make the visitor's experience as hassle-free as possible and straight to the point. If done correctly, mobile websites can be huge for your company, especially since over half of smart phone users admit to using their device while shopping.
